Google shortlists six Indian startups for Launchpad Accelerator Program
25 May 2017Google has announced six Indian startups who have been shortlisted for the fourth class of Google Accelerator Program. These six startups will be joining the latest class of Launchpad that has 27 other startups from across Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America, at the Google Developers Launchpad Space in San Francisco. The fourth class will kick off from 17th July 2017 and will include two weeks of all-expense-paid mentorship boot camp. This batch of startups will gain from Google’s new curriculum that will help the startups to dig deeper into machine learning and AI and help them leverage Google’s latest technologies to scale their apps.
Microsoft announces new Surface Pro lineup starting at $799
25 May 2017Microsoft has announced an upgraded iteration of its original Surface Pro lineup without any numbering with many “meaningful” changes. The successor to 2015’s Pro 4 packs 800 custom new parts with a lot of iterative hardware and software changes. “With Surface Pro we created a new category and challenged the status quo of the laptop,” said Panos Panay, corporate vice president, Microsoft Devices. “With every release since we have continued to push boundaries – redefining the ultimate laptop with Surface Book and making the classic laptop feel fresh again with Surface Laptop. With the introduction of the new Surface Pro we are once again advancing the category by delivering the versatility of a powerhouse laptop and a mobile creative studio in one thin, lightweight device.”
